Encourage!

I have a friend, a brother in Christ at work and he just has this gift of encouraging. No matter what is going on you can count on him for a positive encouraging word. He is always asking how are you and I honestly have never seen him down. It doesn’t matter who he encounters, he finds a way to build them up. It is amazing and he certainly knows the good news!

It brings to mind a passage; 1 Thessalonians 5:8-11...

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Encourage someone today...

Abba Father, what love you have that you would send your son to suffer for us, to die in our place that we might live. Thank you Jesus that you; out of your great love would come to rescue us. Thank you that as believers we are appointed to receive salvation and that by the power of the Holy Spirit we live together with you always. Father, help us to recognize this amazing grace and because of this great, wonderful and fantastic news help us to encourage and build up. Amen.

Grace and Peace!
